I had basement flooding and sewage backup during the heavy rains this weekend. I recently purchased this house and was very concerned. Thomas Flurry came to my house this morning, and was extremely professional. He provided useful information about Grayton and put me at ease. He got right to work and, after some initial testing, explained to the that the sewer line was backed-up. He was confident and said he would resolved the problem. He removed the basement toilet and snaked all the way to the street. He also used a taze plunger and explained everything he was doing. He cleared the blockage and showed the water flowing out to the street. He stayed an additional 30 minutes, letting water run from the house to make sure the line was fully clear and flushing. He then replaced the toilet and made sure it was shimmed properly (my floor is very uneven) and properly caulked. The toilets and sinks in my house are now operating much better and I am much less concerned about flooding during heavy rains. Thomas was a true professional, and took the time to be courteous and explain everything he was doing. I would highly recommend Thomas and Grayton Plumbing to any of my neighbors or friends. The pilot on the stove kept going out and it was suggested that the gasline be enlarged to increase the flow of gas to the stove. We sought three proposals to have the line replaced. Two of the companies came out and provided quotes based on what we thought was needed, but not Grayton. Grayton came out and did a thorough assessment of the issue and it turned out the new gasline was not needed, only training on the usage of the emergency gas shut-off was required. Grayton saved us a few hundred dollars by independently assessing the issue and not just providing a fix for what appeared to be the problem. Thanks Grayton
